Get the upcoming season going with the help of the iu southeast baseball staff and current players on the 2019 roster. Learn the offensive, defensive, and pitching fundamentals that have helped the grenadiers to back-to-back- to-back 40-win seasons.
Fundamentals covered:
- Hitting: stance, swing. Batting practice, bunting
- Fielding technique, footwork, throwing, catching
- Pitching mindset, wind-up, stretch, mechanics
- Baserunning base hits, lead offs, turns, stealing
IU southeast baseball
The grenadier baseball team is a member of the national association of intercollegiate athletics(NAIA) and the river states athletic conference. Home games are played at the Koetter sports complex on the IU southeast campus. Grenadier accolades over the last 10 years, IU southeast baseball has reached historic heights. The program has regularly been a part of post season play and now a nationally known power in NAIA baseball with five NAIA opening round tournament appearances. Among the awards that.
The grenadiers have collected are:
- Six conference championships
- Three straight 40-win seasons(school record 48 in 2017)
- Nine 30-win seasons
- 3 conference pitcher, freshman, and players of the year
- 2 conference male athletes of the year
- 4 NAIA All-Americans, 19 academic All-Americans
- 19 players signed to play professional baseball
- 2010 20th round MLB draft pick
