McNeese State University Summer Vocal Camp

Dates: June 10^th – 14^th

McNeese State University welcomes middle school and high school singers to campus for a five-day summer camp to hone their singing skills in an encouraging, energetic learning environment. Featuring group vocal technique courses and an immersive choral-singing experience, the McNeese Summer Vocal Camp will help you find your voice and hone your skills through a world-class singing instruction!

Age Range: We welcome singers who are rising 6th graders through rising 12th graders, ages 11-18. Students will be provided with age-appropriate voice instruction and choral experiences featuring two choirs and a combined camp chorus.

Camp Activities: Camp days begin and end with combined choral ensembles followed by group voice classes. Students are asked to bring their own lunch so we can enjoy community activities together. Team-building activities are followed by personalized music lessons on skills such as music theory, All-State practice, and musical theatre. The camp will conclude on Friday with a final performance featuring the camp choirs, group vocal technique classes, and selected outstanding soloists.

Camp Location: All camp activities will take place in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex (SFAA) and Tritico Theater on the McNeese State University campus. Each day will begin in SFAA Room 207. The address for the university can be found below:

Registration

• Open to singers ages 11-18
• Camp Registration Fee: $200
  • All campers will receive a t-shirt
• Daily schedule – 9:00am to 3:00pm
  • Camp schedule will be posted online one week prior to the camp
• Final Concert: Friday, June 14th at 6:00pm in Tritico Theater
• Payment is required before you will be accepted. Please do not mail in payments.
