Spartan Explore
For middle-school students (6th-8th grades). Nine consecutive weeks of “full-day” camp from June 9th to August 8th. No camp on June 19th and July 4th. Participants can register for one of two different camp offerings each week. Each day includes instruction in the chosen camp, lunch, and recreational activities (as a combined group). $409 ($385 + $24 Fee) per Week. With the exception of Week 2 & 4 being 4 day camps, cost is $327 ($308 + $19 Fee).

The first week, 6/9-6/13 will offer the following sessions:
Week 1: Creative Prompt Engineering
Learn how to write clear, effective and creative prompts for AI. This hands-on workshop will teach you how to use AI tools like ChatGPT to generate stories, images, and more. You will experiment with different prompt techniques, refine your approach, and apply what you learn immediately. Sessions will focus on practical exercises, creative problem-solving, and understanding how AI responds to different inputs. This course is ideal for students ready to explore AI and harness its creative potential. NOTE: A one-month ChatGPT Plus subscription for twenty dollars is required. Students must sign up for the subscription before the first class, and bring a username and login ready to go. We will start using the tool immediately. Students who do not have a ChatGPT Plus subscription will not be able to fully participate.
Week 1: Self Defense
Learn essential skills to stay safe and build confidence! Through fun and interactive lessons, you’ll practice basic self-defense techniques, learn about personal safety, and build strength and awareness. This camp focuses on both physical techniques and mental preparedness, helping you feel empowered and ready for anything! Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to improve their self-defense knowledge
The second week, 6/16-6/20 (No Camp June 19th) will offer the following sessions:
Week 2: Esports
Step into the exciting world of competitive gaming with our Esports Academy, designed for middle school students passionate about gaming and esports. Whether you're looking to improve your skills, experience new games you've never played, or learn skills for self-improvement, this immersive summer camp will provide you with the tools, training, and knowledge to thrive in the competitive gaming world.
Week 2: Drawing
Unleash your creativity at our Art Explorer Drawing Camp, where imagination knows no bounds! Designed for middle schoolers, this camp invites young artists to dive into the world of drawing through fun and engaging activities. Activities include hands-on workshops, daily themes, collaborative projects, and an art showcase at the end of the week. You don’t want to miss this.
The third week, 6/23-6/27 will offer the following session:
Week 3: Painting
Join us for an exciting journey into the world of color and imagination! In this dynamic painting class, students will explore various techniques and styles, from acrylics to watercolors. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, this class is designed to help you express yourself through art. Each day, we’ll tackle new themes and projects, allowing you to experiment with different materials and approaches. You’ll learn about color theory, composition, and the importance of brush techniques while developing your unique artistic voice.
Week 3: Health & Wellness
Have fun while learning how to take care of your body and mind! You’ll explore healthy habits, try fun activities like yoga, nutrition games, and stress-relief exercises, all while making new friends. This camp is perfect for anyone who wants to feel great, stay active, and learn tips for a balanced lifestyle. Get ready for a summer of energy, wellness, and fun!
The fourth week, 6/30-7/4 (No Camp July 4th) will offer the following sessions:
Week 4: Create your own Business
This session introduces middle school students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship through the creation of a business plan. Students will learn about business concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and gain practical experience in planning and presenting their own business ideas.
Week 4: Ceramics
Dive into the world of clay in our Creative Ceramics class! Designed for middle school students, this hands-on course invites you to explore your artistic side while learning essential techniques in pottery and sculpture. Throughout this session, you'll experiment with various methods, from hand-building to wheel throwing, allowing you to create unique pieces such as bowls, mugs, and imaginative sculptures. Discover the beauty of glazing and firing as you finish your creations, giving each piece a personal touch.
The fifth week, 7/7-7/11 will offer the following sessions:
Week 5: Robotics (20 seats MAX course)
Join us for an exciting week of hands-on learning at our robotics camp! Designed for middle school students, this camp will ignite your passion for technology and engineering. Through interactive projects, teamwork, and problem-solving, you'll dive into the world of robotics and discover how to design, build, and program your very own robots.
Week 5: Print Making (10 seats MAX course)
Discover the fun world of creating art through prints! You'll learn different techniques like linocut and monoprinting to make your own designs on paper, fabric, and more. This hands-on camp is all about exploring creativity, experimenting with colors and patterns, and creating unique art pieces. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, you'll leave with your own collection of cool prints!
The sixth week, 7/14-7/18 will offer the following sessions:
Week 6: STEAM
Join us for an exciting week of exploration and creativity at our STEAM Camp! This hands-on program will immerse students in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through engaging projects and collaborative activities. Participants will develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation while working with peers.
Week 6: Capturing Moments: Photography
Register for a week of creativity and exploration at our Photography Camp! Designed for middle school students, this hands-on program will introduce you to the art of photography, teaching you the skills to capture the world around you. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, you'll learn how to tell stories through your lens!
The seventh week, 7/21-7/25 will offer the following sessions:
Week 7: Innovators in Technology
Dive into the world of app creation by learning how to build and test apps that solve everyday problems. Explore how technology can bring creative ideas to life, from art apps to interactive tools.
Week 7: Sports & Fitness
Get moving! You’ll stay active, try new sports, and improve your fitness through fun games and challenges. Whether it’s basketball, soccer, or team-building activities, this camp helps you develop skills, boost your strength, and stay healthy—all while having a blast with friends! Perfect for all skill levels.
The eighth week, 7/28-8/1 will offer the following sessions:
Week 8: Board Game Design
Dive into the exciting world of board game design in this immersive week-long workshop! Whether you're a seasoned designer or a curious beginner, this class will guide you through the entire process of creating your own board game from concept to prototype. Explore fundamental game mechanics and how they influence player experience. Campers will gain insights into the board game industry, including self- publishing, crowdfunding, and distribution.
Week 8: DIY Zines Illustration
In this camp students will learn how to make their own zines: mini magazines filled with writing, visual art, and more. They'll explore different zine styles, the basics of layout and page design, and how to work together as a group while creating their own collaborative zine.

Week 9: Challenge of the Champions
Get ready for an unforgettable week of teamwork, adventure, and resilience! Our Camp Challenge Week is designed to test campers’ physical skills, mental strength, and ability to work together. Through a series of fun and engaging challenges, students will learn valuable skills while fostering camaraderie and camp spirit.

What to Bring:
Clothing:
- Comfortable clothes: Weather-appropriate and suitable for active play. Think t-shirts, shorts, or lightweight pants.
- Hat or cap: For sun protection.
- Light jacket or sweatshirt: For cooler mornings or evenings.
- Extra pair of clothes: Just in case the camper gets dirty or wet during the day.
Footwear:
- Sturdy sneakers: Comfortable and good for walking or running.
Health & Safety Items:
- Sunscreen: To protect from sunburns during outdoor activities.
- Bug spray: Especially if the camp is in an area with lots of mosquitoes.
- Water bottle: Staying hydrated is key! A reusable water bottle is ideal.
- Personal hand sanitizer: If the camper prefers or needs it for hygiene.
Camp Supplies:
- Backpack or daypack: To carry all their essentials throughout the day.
- Snacks: Non-perishable snacks (e.g., granola bars, fruit snacks) if allowed.
- Notebook or journal: If the camp involves writing or creativity.
- Pen/pencil: For any notes, games, or activities that require writing.
Optional Items:
- Sunglasses: For sun protection.
- Camera or disposable camera: If the camp allows, to capture fun moments (or a phone, if permitted).
Books or reading material: For downtime or relaxing moments
