Session 2: Incoming Grades 4th-7th All grades will attend 10:15am - 12:15pm on Thursday, June 26th Location: Tiger Stadium at ADM High School Cost: $54 ($50 + $4 Fee) |
ADM Track & Field Future Champions Camp
Goals of Camp:
- Help young athletes understand the benefits of being active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle
- Engage athletes in learning about the sport of Track & Field no matter their age or level of experience
- Help develop a growth mindset of failing fast, failing better while training through a process to reach goals
- Develop the concept of being a great teammate and leader through camp lessons and activities
Monday-Wednesday (Camp “Practices”)
- *Music each day at stadium*
- Practice days will include a message of the day, a team lap, warm-up, station work (blocks/hurdles, jumps/throws, running/baton exchanges), and a cool down/flexibility/mobility routine.
Thursday (Camp “Meet Day”)
- *Announcer, music, camp picture*
- 10:15am-12:15pm
- 100m Dash
- Long Jump
- Shot Put
- 4 Hurdle Challenge
- Optional 800m (at end)
Cost Includes:
- Camp Shirt
- Ice pops end of each day
- Meet Results
Additional Information
- Current coaches, current athletes, past athletes
- All activities at stadium. Backup plan in south gym if weather threatens.
- Campers need a water bottle, athletic shoes that are double knotted and a positive attitude to learn!
- Parents are welcome to stay and watch from stands during practices or near events on meet day.
