Summer fun and learning await middle school students entering grades 6-8 in Fall 2026 with Spartan Explore!

This multi-week, full-day program combines hands-on learning, recreation, and creative exploration. Each week offers up to two camp options to choose from, ranging from nursing and engineering to exercise science and sport management

Example Daily Schedule:

• 8:00 am - 8:15 am: Morning Drop-Off
• 8:15 am - 12:30 pm: Morning Instruction
• 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm: Lunch in York College Dining Hall
• 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Afternoon Activities

Price: $334 per Session *Lunch Included 
($315 + $19 Fee)

Week 1: STEAM
Jump into a summer of discovery at Spartan Explore STEAM Camp, where curiosity and creativity collide! This camp includes hands-on projects that let you design, build, and experiment. Get ready to explore a world of possibilities and see how science, technology, engineering, art, and math come to life.

This camp features interactive challenges that will spark your imagination and sharpen your problem-solving skills.

Whether you love to tinker, code, or create, you’ll find your passion here. Collaborate with new friends, turn your ideas into reality, and build confidence in a fun, supportive environment. Join us and discover the innovator within you!

Week 1: Art
Unleash your imagination and explore your artistic side at Spartan Explore Art Camp! This summer, dive into a world of creativity, learning new techniques, and experimenting with a wide range of media.

This camp is designed for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced young artists. Our instructors will guide you through hands-on projects that encourage self-expression and skill-building.

In addition to developing your artistic skills, you will also build a portfolio of your work to share with family and friends!

The second week, 7/6-7/10 will offer the following sessions:

Week 2: Robotics
Bring your ideas to life this summer at Spartan Explore Robotics Camp! Designed for curious and creative minds, this camp is the perfect place to explore the exciting world of robotics, from building the hardware to writing the code that makes it all possible.

Our hands-on camp is led by experienced instructors who will guide you through the entire process of robot creation in an innovative, team-oriented, and fun environment. 

Week 2: Health & Wellness
Give your middle schooler a unique and enriching summer experience at Spartan Explore Health & Wellness Camp. This program is designed to educate and empower students to take charge of their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Our holistic approach covers all aspects of health to help campers build a strong foundation for a healthy future. Through interactive workshops and engaging activities, students will explore topics such as mindfulness & mental wellness, nutrition, and physical health.

The third week, 7/20-7/24 will offer the following sessions:

Week 3: ESports
Learn how to game like a pro this summer at Spartan Explore Esports Camp held in York College’s state-of-the-art gaming facility, the Spartan Den.

This camp is designed for both competitive and casual gamers. You’ll get to train in the same top-of-the-line facility used by the York College Esports team, featuring high-performance PCs and gear. Our experienced coaches and mentors will guide you through skill development, teamwork & communication, and industry insights.

Beyond the consoles, students will interact with others who share a passion for gaming and build confidence in a supportive and fun environment.

Week 3: Photography
See the world through a new lens at Spartan Explore Photography Camp! This camp goes beyond simply taking pictures. It teaches students how to tell stories and capture moments that last a lifetime.

Our expert instructors will guide students through the fundamentals of photography, from mastering camera settings to understanding lighting and composition. Students will get hands-on experience exploring different styles of photography.

In addition to technical skills, students will learn to develop their creative vision and build a portfolio of their best work. Join us this summer to sharpen skills, express creativity, and make memories that can be shared for years to come!
