Summer Music Academy
Middle School All-Star Band

Students will need the following for the academy (please read the entire document!):

Attire for the finale performances will be academy shirt (distributed during the week) & shorts or pants

• Your instrument (McNeese CANNOT provide any instruments, mouthpieces or reeds)
• Standard mute(s)
• Pencil
• Umbrella or rain jacket
• PERCUSSIONISTS: Please bring as much of the following as you have or can get from your director:
  • Concert snare sticks and marching sticks
  • Medium yarn mallets / Xylophone mallets / Timpani mallets
  • **If you do not have access to all of these, that's ok. Bring as much as you can.
• ​Comfortable athletic shoes
• Sunscreen and hat

Family, directors, and friends are invited to the Academy Finale Performances on June 13. This will be held in Tritico Theater.

Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each session. Meals and sessions will be supervised at all times.
