STEAM CAMP

Campers can choose one STEAM Track for the week: Art, Music, or Computer Science & Engineering.

Music Production:

• You know you've always wanted to be a rock star...In music production, you will learn to compose and record with GarageBand, set up recording equipment, write your own song, share your recording online, and even have a rockin' photo shoot in front of the green screen!

Art:

• Painting & Drawing (AM Session):  Personal expression will be emphasized as campers develop their drawing skills. We will also work with acrylics and watercolor to create a painting you can take home.
• Printmaking (PM Session): Young artists will explore various printmaking techniques using the printing press to produce one of a kind prints from their own drawings. Processes will also include the use of digital media and collage. You will be able to print the developed imagery in multiple colors and on various printmaking papers.

Computer Science & Engineering:

• Pocket Trains (Design & Create My Own 3D-Printed Train): Campers will have the opportunity to explore and learn about the world of 3D printing as they design and create a three-car-train using TinkerCAD. Begin developing the mindset of a designer! We will identify & model basic elements that repeat throughout a design first, then duplicate and assemble those elements into larger and larger structures.
