Boys Soccer | July 8th-11th | Grades 9th-12th
Bishop DuBourg High School Camp Cavalier
The soccer camp curriculum will cover ball handling and decision making for all players. This will be done through game-like situations in a fun environment.
DRIBBLING: Campers will warm-up with the ball every single day with a series of moves and touches designed to ensure that they have in excess of 500 touches per day. Players will be given specific exercises that they can work on outside of the confinement of camp to improve their game.
TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES: Players will work on skills that are essential to the game of soccer. These include receiving, turning, passing and shooting. The emphasis will be on putting them in a competitive framework to add enjoyment for the player.
GAMES: Campers will participate in competitive games design to replicate experiences all players will witness in a live game. Coaches will use these games to increase the player’s enjoyment and use teachable moments to give players ideas how to handle similar situations in competitive matches.
EVALUATIONS: All campers will receive feedback from a member of the Bishop DuBourg High School staff. The idea behind this is to create a mindset of how to improve on a regular basis.
