This camp is designed for elementary level athletes and/or MS athletes just starting the sport.
Date: June 3rd-6th
Entering Grades: 2nd-8th Times: M, T, W 10:15-12:00pm Th 10:45-1:00pm Fee: $55 (Includes FHHS Tennis Apparel & Other Tennis Prizes) **Rain Date will be June 7th** |
Location: Francis Howell High School
Details: We work on swing form (forehands, backhands, volleys, overhands), serving, footwork, strategy, etc. The drills we use are dependent upon skill level. The HS/Experienced Group should arrive around 7:50am to get checked in and warm up/hit around. Beginners are encouraged to arrive at 10am and to get checked in, start hitting around, and/or warm up, but we will officially start the camp agenda at 10:15am. We will have a tournament on the last day for the HS/Experienced Camp and Beginners will have a day of their favorite tennis games with a touch of competition for the age levels that are ready so the timeframes are a little longer. There are tennis prizes for the tournament & games (everyone will win something), popsicles (cause why not, it’s summer!), and everyone will receive a FHHS Tennis Apparel. Finally, we will also have special attire Themes on Tues and Weds; Tuesday will be Bucket Hat Day and Wednesday will be Merica Day!

Note: If you feel you are experienced enough to be in the Experienced Camp, but your grade isn’t in the range then you should email Coach Carlson directly at tracy.carlson@fhsdschools.org
