The Linfield High Academic is meant to be a high-level teaching and training camp for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors who plan to play volleyball at the collegiate level.  The camp is meant for student athletes who are also dedicated and desire a strong academic collegiate experience.

The camp looks to introduce players to the technical and tactical training used by the Linfield women’s volleyball program.  With sessions run by the Linfield coaching staff, campers will get a true sense of what it means to play volleyball in the Wildcat program and learn about the goals and philosophy of Linfield Women’s Volleyball.

Includes: Camp t-shirt, water bottle, Academic Classroom sessions (SAT Prep for Sophomores/Juniors… College readiness class for Seniors), Room/Board, 10:1 maximum Player to coach ratio)

Coaching Philosophy

I believe that academics are the first and foremost important aspect of being a collegiate athlete.  It is my goal to recruit and train athletes at the highest level, but also prepare them for life beyond the volleyball court.

The purpose of our High Academic Camp is to do just that: prepare student athletes for the classroom and beyond.   The week of camp provides both on-the-court training sessions, as well as either a SAT Prep or a College Readiness course (taught by current or former Linfield faculty members), whichever is chosen by the athlete/family.

Other pillars of the Linfield Volleyball program include developing and fostering relationships, responsibility, and togetherness.  It is our belief that, if we build and foster our relationships with one another, we are responsible for our own actions, and live in community together, we will find success both in the classroom and beyond!

If you have any questions about the clinic, please email Joshua Davis, Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at jdavis8@linfield.edu or call 503-883-2532.
