2019 Jr. Spartan Boys Basketball Camp

This will be the 23rd year for the Spartan Basketball Camp. We feel that we have put together a great opportunity for basketball players to get ready for next season. For the first time we are offering this camp to boys entering 4th through 6th grade from 8:00 to 10:00 AM and then for 7th through 9th grade from 10:30 to 12:30. In doing this we can give more individual help to each age group. Natural ability can only take you to a certain level, whether or not you go beyond that level depends on SOUND FUNDAMENTALS. If you want to learn to play the game, we want to teach you.

Parents and coaches are welcome to watch or ask questions during the camp. The Francis Howell Central Boys Basketball Staff would like to share with you our drills and our Spartan Basketball philosophy. We hope you can take these drills home and work with your son in the off season.

Location: The Spartan Basketball Camp will be held on the Francis Howell Central School campus. We will use the East and West gym.

First Hour:
Will focus on individual skills:
-Passing
-Dribbling
-Shooting
-Footwork
-One on one moves
Second Hour:
Will stress team oriented fundamentals and competition?
-Games
-Individual Skill Test
-Team defense
-Free throw, hot shot, and one on one competition
-Three on three and five on five tournament

On Thursday June 27th, we invite parents to be present for the awards ceremony starting at 9:30 a.m. for 4th thru 6th and 12:00 pm for 7th thru 9th. At this time, we will have the finalist of the free throw, hot shot and one on one contest.
