Event Description

GCU Softball Camps

Summer Camps

Grand Canyon University Softball is excited to announce our 2019 Summer Camp Schedule.  We are offering more dates this year with many opportunities to work with the GCU Coaching Staff, current and former players as well as other area coaches.  We are offering camps in the areas of Hitting, Slapping, Pitching, Catching and Defense as well as dates for younger age athletes.

For the first time, GCU is offering Progression Camps.  The 3 Week Progression Camps are designed to introduce and practice skills over a three week period to go more in depth into drills and information than can be done in a 1 day camp.  For three weeks at an hour and a half each session, athletes will engage in a more practice type setting with more reps and time with our coaches.  To see our progression camps being offered, please see below.

3 Week Hitting Progression Camp
June 12th, 19th, & 26th
Ages: 11 - 18
Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Cost: $150 per Person
Limit: 25 Participants

Check-In: Camp check in will take place approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of camp.

3 Week Hitting Progression Camp: Hitters will have the opportunity to progress over a three time to get more swings and work specifically on areas that need improvement.  Each week will have a different focus such as increasing power and barrel speed, hitting both sides of the plate, etc. This camp is limited to 25 athletes between the ages of 11 – 18.

What To Bring: Each participant will need to have a copy of the Liability Waiver and Medical Release Form on file in order to participate.  Each camp will be covered by a certified trainer.  Water will be provided, however, we encourage each camper to bring a water bottle.  All participants will need to bring their own softball equipment; glove, bat, helmet, batting gloves, cleats, visor, etc.

Refund Policy: No refunds will be provided for cancelations.

For any questions regarding camp, please refer to Asst. Coach Christi Musser at christi.musser@gcu.edu.

Per NCAA rules, all sport camps and clinics conducted by Grand Canyon University are open to any and all entrants and enrollment is only limited based on age, grade level, gender, or number restrictions as specified by each camp.
