Event Description

NIACC Health Careers Camp

Health Careers Camp

Wow! - Learn about safe childbirth with our new birthing simulator.

In Health Careers Camp you will have the opportunity to learn and experience what it’s like to be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), Medical Assistant (MA), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Athletic Trainer.

We will teach you how to perform essential job duties related to each career and have some fun while you learn. You’ll have the opportunity to join in a panel discussion with professionals employed in these areas. Put what you learn into action during a simulation session in our state-of-the-art Health Simulation Center while working with manikins that talk, breathe, blink and respond like a live person! We will utilize the latest audio video technology to record these sessions so you can review your simulation! See how these simulations play out on the big screen.
