Event Description

2019 Underclass Prospect Camp

Position Player: High school prospect camp will include, strength and conditioning testing/instruction (Med Ball Overhead Throw, Med Ball Side Toss, Broad Jump, 5-10-5 Shuttle, 60-yard dash, Home to 1st times, etc.), pro-style infield/outfield (Arm velocities) and hitting showcase (Exit velocities off tee) for each participant. All participants will also receive individual instruction at their position from SDSU staff. Scrimmage games will follow in the afternoon. All participants will have the opportunity hit and guaranteed to play their primary positon during the scrimmage.

Pitcher Only: Pitchers will first receive instruction from the coaching staff. Will also have the opportunity to pitch in the afternoon scrimmage. Velocity results recorded.

Additional Information: Results from testing e-mailed to you courtesy of Sportevals following camp. Camp T-shirt included. Contingency plan for inclement weather is to move into the SJAC Indoor Facility on campus or move the camp to Sunday, August 25th. Time and format are subject to change. Lunch not provided. Lunch break will be 30-45 minutes in length. We recommend that you bring your lunch.

*Note: if you are wanting to select the two-way option for camp, please register as a position player. Then later in the registration process it will ask you for a secondary position where you will want to select pitcher for that option. Then at camp you will get the opportunity to play at your primary position selected as well as pitch in the scrimmage.

Check-In: Position players check in at 8:00 am | Pitchers Check in at 11:30 am

Includes: T-Shirt (Guaranteed size if registered by Aug. 1st)

Equipment Needed: Baseball pants, hat, cleats shoes, glove, bat, batting gloves, helmet, catcher’s gear, etc.

Additional Information: If a camper will require any accommodations due to special needs, we ask that you notify us via email or in writing of those needs a minimum of two weeks prior to the camp start date so we can make the accommodations.
