American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED

American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED for adults, children, and infants.

This course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive.  This course uses AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

The First Aid course component trains individuals to act in emergencies and to recognize and care for life-threatening situations such as cuts, burns, sudden illness, seizures, and injury.  In CPR training, the students learn to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and to resuscitate adults, children, and infants.  These valuable skills could save the life of a loved one in an emergency.

Successful completion of this course results in a two-year First Aid, AED, and CPR completion card.  Elizabeth Martin is an experienced instructor, certified with American Heart Association.
