Event Description

Due to the uncertainty created by the COVID-19 virus we have established a way for you to reserve a spot in camp without any upfront financial commitment. Simply join our FREE Wait List. When camp is confirmed to take place, you will receive an email from us giving you the ability to pay the camp dues. If at the time you still wish to attend camp, you can pay securely online. If your circumstances change and you no longer wish to attend camp, simply let us know. You won’t owe us anything.
       All Skills Camp
This camp is open to girls, ages 12-18, of all abilities. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff and placed into groups based on age and ability level. Campers will master the fundamentals and develop proper mechanics through a mix of drills, games and competitive play.

The All Skills session, open to players of all ability levels. Here you’ll master the fundamentals, develop proper mechanics and gain valuable game play experience. Every aspect of the game is covered, giving you a solid skill foundation to build upon after camp. Players undergo a skills evaluation during the first session of camp and are placed in groups according to ability and age. The Brockport Volleyball Camp at The College at Brockport includes top quality volleyball instruction from college coaches with over 80 years of collegiate coaching and playing experience.

The College at Brockport, State University of New York is a four-year liberal arts college in Brockport, Monroe County, New York near Rochester.

Camp Options:

Overnight Campers:

  • Dormitory housing on campus and all meals

Extended Day Campers 9am-9pm (times vary on the first and last day of camp):

  • Lunch and dinner

2020 Session Schedule


  • Check-in: 1:00-2:00pm on Sunday at Thompson Hall
  • Check-out: Graduation takes place at 11:30 am on Wednesday. Parents are invited to attend. Check out will take place immediately after.
  • Parents are also invited to attend the last training session, which starts at 9:30 am on Wednesday.
  • Extended Day Camper Schedule:
    • Sunday: 2:00-9:00 pm
    • Monday & Tuesday: 9:00am-9:00pm
    • Wednesday: 9:00am-12:00pm

What's included in the fee?

  • Daily volleyball instruction
  • Overnight campers: Dormitory housing on campus and all meals are provided.
  • Extended Day campers: Lunch and dinner are provided.
  • Supervision: Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.
  • Camp Shirts & Prizes: All campers receive a Brockport Volleyball dry fit shirt and prizes.
  • Volleyballs: Volleyballs are provided for each camper to use during instruction at camp, so campers do not need to bring their own.

Instruction, Equipment & Facility

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
  • Players Grouped by: ability, age, years of experience
  • Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own kneepads and have at least one pair of well broken-in volleyball (court) shoes. Campers do not need to bring their own volleyballs.
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Camp will have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest medical Facility. Most likely Strong West in Brockport, NY

2020 Housing

  • Dorm: Thompson Hall
    • Campers Per Room: 2
    • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
    • Bathrooms: On each floor
    • Linens: Not included. Bring linens or sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel.
    • Air Conditioning: Dorms are air-cooled, a personal fan is optional.


Brockport Volleyball Camp does not guarantee transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child who needs transportation to camp from one of these please contact with me about options.  The closest airport to campus is Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC).

Registration Packet

A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. Our health and release forms may require a doctor's signature (please reference your camp packet). All required forms will be collected on the first day of camp.

Camp Director

Steve Pike joined The College at Brockport as the head volleyball coach in the spring of 2013. Pike came to the Golden Eagles after a successful tenure at State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) member in Potsdam. Pike has now won three straight SUNYAC Conferences in the five years he has been at Brockport. He has also been selected as a coach for the National USA Women’s volleyball team tryout in Colorado Springs,Co.,as well as an Associate Head Coach for the USA High Performance Holiday Camp this past December.  He has been working with USA Volleyballs’ High Performance Program to coach some of the nation’s top 12-16 year olds for approximately 7 years. The 2005, 2015, and 2016 SUNYAC Coach of the Year, Pike joined the Golden Eagles after 11 seasons as head coach at Potsdam. Pike served as an assistant coach for the Bears for four seasons prior to taking over the reins as head coach in 2001. Pike has been a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) since 1999.
