Fly Tying

Learn how to tie your own fishing flies! Not only can you save money, but you’ll also become a more successful fisherman. Instructor Earland Thompson will start out going over the different types of tools and materials that are used to tie flies, and then he will go into the different species of aquatic insects and their life cycle. This is important when tying flies to determine what type and when to use that type of fly. In the following classes, you will actually tie the different types of flies. Materials will be supplied. Some tools will be available, but it would be helpful if some students could bring their own. Come have fun and learn a hobby that will last a lifetime!
