TEAM TRAINING CAMP | 2020
Our goal is to enhance the traditional team camp model by combining game play with position specific skill development sessions and team culture building. Now your team will play, train, and build a winning culture all within one camp.
This camp includes the following:
- Post & Guard Skill Development Sessions (Includes Video Sessions)

(Pools will be broken up by School Classification / Level of Play: JUNIOR HIGH, JV, VARSITY)
Overnight Campers will stay on campus in air-conditioned dorms and be provided the following all-you-can eat meals. (Commuter teams can purchase a meal plan as well.)

DIRECTOR:
Coach Matt Garnett is the owner, founder, and director of MGBasketball Instruction.
During his time as the collegiate head coach at McMurry University, Garnett was named the American Southwest Conference Coach of the Year while leading McMurry to its first Conference Championship and = NCAA National Tournament appearance in over ten years. During his tenure at Wayland Baptist University, Garnett orchestrated a turnaround leading the Pioneers back to the NAIA National Tournament in both 2014 and 2015 after inheriting a team that won only nine games prior to his arrival. The 2014-15 season produced a 27-6 record and the school’s only Sooner Athletic Conference Championship in the history of the program. During the 2016-17 season, while serving as the Associate Head Coach at Texas Wesleyan University, Garnett helped the Rams win the 2017 NAIA National Championship.
Garnett also serves as the director of Hoops for Him, which is a non-profit seeking to train and equip current collegiate student-athletes to become leaders within their teams and on their campuses.

Garnett was an All-American guard at Wayland Baptist University and Biola University. A graduate of Glen Rose High School , he was a two-time AllState guard and led the state of Texas in both 3pt Shooting percentage and FT shooting percentage his junior and senior seasons.
