Event Description

Due to the uncertainty created by the COVID-19 virus we have established a way for you to reserve a spot in camp without any upfront financial commitment. Simply join our FREE Wait List. When camp is confirmed to take place, you will receive an email from us giving you the ability to pay the camp dues. If at the time you still wish to attend camp, you can pay securely online. If your circumstances change and you no longer wish to attend camp, simply let us know. You won’t owe us anything.

FREDERICK COUNTY BASKETBALL CAMP


Camp Details

The goal of this camp is to develop well-rounded, fundamentally sound basketball players. Players, bracketed by age and skill level, can expect small group instruction and competitive team scrimmages giving them the chance to improve skill level and learn teamwork taught by a staff of experienced coaches and outstanding players.
 
The Frederick County Basketball Camp was established 26 years ago. Previously held at Gov. Thomas Johnson High School, Urbana High School, and now camp is held at Oakdale High School. This camp focuses on INSTRUCTION. No Guest speakers AND videos to fill time.

Boys & Girls Entering Grades: 1st - 9th
Boys: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Girls: 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Cost: $125
(Save $5 if registered by April 15th)
Summer Basketball Camp

Location
Oakdale High School, 5850 Eaglehead Drive, Ijamsville, MD 21754

First Day Check-in
When campers arrive in the morning they will check-in at the entrance of the Oakdale High School Gym. Staff will assign them to a team and direct them to the appropriate warm-up area until camp begins.

If your not officially registered on the first day of camp, there will also be a registration table. Note: Parent/Guardian will be required to sign a wavier. (checks payable to: OHS Athletic Boosters)

CAMP ACTIVITIES & HIGHLIGHTS

  • Staff includes OHS coaches, current and past OHS players
  • Camp T-Shirt
  • 3-on-3 games
  • 5-on-5 games
  • Individual instruction & competition
  • Group Instruction
  • Emphasis on skill development - Rebounding, shooting, passing, defensive techniques, post moves, and ball handling.

ITEMS TO BRING TO CAMP:

  • Basketball shoes
  • Water bottle (place your name on bottle)

Note: Water will be available for players at both inside and outside courts

*For any refund requests, there will be a $10 processing fee deducted from your total refund.
