Grambling State announces a spring one day Identification camp for Saturday March 28th from 10am to 1pm at the GSU Soccer field on campus.

The GSU Soccer team has posted a 35-26-3 record the past 3 years, will be hosting a one day camp on Saturday March 28th from 10am to 1pm at the GSU Soccer fields. Cost will be $40 to attend the three hour event. This camp is hosted for female players 8th grade through junior college transfers. Sign up today, or email coach Wagar with any questions you might have.

The soccer field is located right beside the Frederick Hobdy Assembly Center (Its our basketball gym, GPS that)

Cost will be $40 for the day if registered by March 27th. For those registered after the 27th, the cost will be $50 per person. Any participants needing to fly in for the camp, the Monroe Regional airport is roughly 30 minutes from campus, Shreveport airport is an hour, or Dallas/Little Rock are the nearest Southwest destinations.

We are down to our final few spots for our 2020 roster in limited positions. We are still very much working on our 2021, 2022, and 2023 high school grads.

This camp will feature some technical work, but mainly short and full sided scrimmage games, mixed in with some shooting and 1 vs 1 to goal instruction. We'd love to have you on campus and have the chance to work with you and see you compete. If looking to learn skills to improve your game, you should probably try to come to the Elite Camp in the summer where we teach skills and then you get a chance to showcase them in a more competitive setting where typically 30 to 45 campers attend. ID camps for just 3 hours is pretty much a tryout/evaluation scenario of your skill and have numbers usually ranging from 10 to 20 campers.

What To Bring: Please bring necessary soccer equipment to compete, shin guards, ball, water, cleats and a smile.  If you don't have a ball, you can purchase a Grambling State U. custom ball for $12.95.

Contact: Please contact coach Wagar (801)234-0235 with any questions or email him at wagarj@gram.edu.

2017 Team hype video:

This camp is more to evaluate skill of players. If you want more skill instruction and learning to improve skills, please consider our overnight summer camp in mid July. Information on that will be posted in the coming weeks.
