ABOUT THE FACILITIES
Tarleton State University has the very best in the way of facilities to offer campers. The Physical Education building houses beautiful Wisdom Gymnasium as well as an auxiliary gymnasium, gymnastics room and an indoor swimming pool and diving well. The building also includes a complete weight room, physical training room, and racquetball courts. The residence hall, dining hall and student center are conveniently located and are excellent facilities for the campers.
INSURANCE
All participants will be covered by a secondary medical insurance which is included in the camp fee.
SUPERVISION
The staff for the camps will be outstanding high school coaches, Tarleton assistant coaches along with current and former members of the Tarleton basketball team.
INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION
The camp provides instruction in all basketball fundamentals including shooting, ball handling, scoring situations, defense and rebounding. Campers will compete against players in their own age group.
WHAT TO BRING
Campers will be required to furnish their own toiletries, bedding supplies, alarm clock, plus athletic equipment as follows: 5 T-shirts, 5 pair of playing shorts, 1 pair basketball shoes, 5 pair of athletic socks and one sweatshirt. Also campers will want a swim suit and casual clothing for free time. No tank tops or short shorts.
PLEASE NOTE
Commuters will be served lunch and dinner. They will report at 8:00 AM each day and depart at approximately 9:00 PM. each night. Registration for commuters will be the first day of camp from 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM in the Wisdom Gym lobby.
