2020 Phoenix Lady Basketball Camp

JUNE 15TH - 18TH
  Girls → Grades 4th - 8th
(2020-21 academic year)
All grades: Noon - 4PM
Cost: $150 for one camper, $250 if two campers from same family
T-shirt included

BCampers will be taught:

  • Basic shooting form to include lay-up, jump shot, free throw, and three point technique.
  • Body balance, change of direction, pivoting footwork, and positioning technique for rebounding.
  • The fundamentals of passing, catching and getting open to receive the ball.
  • Basic post moves and receiving the ball in the post.
  • Perimeter, stationary and dribble scoring moves.
  • Dribbling and ball handling skills.
  • Fundamentals of 1-on-1, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 offense.
  • Individual and team defensive concepts.

Head Coach Scott Blum
Women’s Basketball

Coach Blum finished his 2nd season as Head coach of the Phoenix women’s basketball program. Coach Blum is a 1988 Indiana All-Star, then played two years at Valparaiso University after transferring to Grace College where he was named first team All-American twice, as well as a NAIA National Championship winner. After playing professional basketball in Portugal, Coach Blum received his first head coaching position at Indiana Wesleyan University. While at IWU he coached the Wildcats to their first ever NCCAA National Championship for the men’s program. Coach Blum coached seven years as a men’s head coach and then took over the women’s program at Grace College in 2004-2005 season. Coach Blum was the head basketball coach at Grace College for 14 years becoming the program’s all-time winningest coach, recruited five of the top 10 leading scorers in program history, Led Lancers to first NAIA national rankings, has over 20 years of camp experience.
