2020 TEXAN PROSPECT CAMP

All high school players are invited to the Tarleton State University Baseball Prospect Camp.  This camp is an opportunity for high school players to participate in an evaluation setting in front of the TSU coaching staff.  Each position player will be evaluated in a 60 yard sprint, a defensive skill session, batting practice on the field, and in a game setting.  Each pitcher will throw in the game and will be evaluated for velocity, command, and quality of pitches.

All camp activities will be conducted at the baseball facilities of Tarleton State University at Cecil Ballow Baseball Complex. Our showcases are the best way for prospective players to show their skills to our coaching staff at Tarleton State University.

• T-Shirt will be provided at registration.
• Lunch will be provided on Sunday.
• Tour of campus will be provided on Sunday between live games

Saturday, August 22nd - Pro style workout and on field BP

► 8:00am - Registration
► 8:30am - Introduction
► 8:45am - Dynamic Stretch
► 9:00am - ProStyle Workout (60's, INF/OF with velo readings, Catcher pop times.
► 10:00am - Batting Practice w/ Rapsodo (results provided in evaluation)

• Rapsodo will be used during games for pitchers & hitters (results provided in evaluation)
• Pitchers will throw a minimum of 2 innings. Two way players will throw at least 1 inning.
• Position players will get a minimum of 5 at bats over 2 games.

► 11:30am   -  Lunch
► 12:15pm, 2:15pm, & 4:15pm - Live Games

Equipment: Each player must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear.

TURF SHOES WILL BE REQUIRED TO HIT ON-FIELD BP!
