2020 MEA Huskies Softball Clinics

MEA Huskies Softball Clinics
Ages: 6 - 18
Location: Selke Field
*Husky Dome (Rain Site)
Defensive Skills: 12:00pm - 1:15pm | $20
Pitching: 1:30pm - 3:00pm | $30
Offensive Skills: 3:00pm - 4:30pm | $20
Thursday, October 15th

Masks will be required and worn by participants, SCSU athletes and coaches

St. Cloud State will not be providing any equipment for the clinics. Please bring your own water bottle, sliding pants, glove, helmet, bat, cleats and catchers gear.

A COVID waiver will need to be signed prior to participation.

The health and safety of campers is our primary focus.  We are continually monitoring COVID-19 developments. If it is determined that our clinic should be canceled, we will issue participants a full refund (minus Ryzer card processing/convenience fees). As decisions are made our directors will communicate via email with any updates.

Defensive Skills Session (Max sign up 40)
Instructions by St. Cloud State softball coaching staff and current team members.

  • Includes: Focus on specialized sessions for infielders, outfielders and catchers, which will focus on  defensive techniques and skill sets. Participants will be grouped by age/skill level.

Pitching Session (Max sign up 30)
Instructions by St. Cloud State softball coaching staff and Huskies team pitchers.

  • Includes: Drills to develop technique/mechanics of the fast pitch pitcher, coaching evaluation and video software analysis. Participants will be grouped by age/skill level.
  • What to bring: Your own glove, cleats/tennis shoes, and a water bottle.
  • Pitchers must bring their own catcher. Please put you catcher’s name during registration.

Offensive Skill Session (Max sign up 40)
Instructions by St. Cloud State softball coaching staff and current team members.

  • Includes: Offensive swing technique/mechanics and/or short game skills for slappers. Participants will also work with blast and response software and technology.

Refunds
There will be no refunds for clinics the participant was unable to attend.  Every attempt will be made to reschedule the event, or moved to a new location if inclement limits holding the event at Selke Field.
