Event Description

Stages Two-Day Virtual 5-Minute Play Festival!
Throughout two days, teams of 3-4 student participants will create, rehearse, perform, and record 5-minute plays. Students will commit to staggered times totaling in 2.5-3.5 hours per day to create multifaceted virtual theatre! The scheduled breaks help the designated writers to edit scripts. The final product will be recorded on December 29th and ready to view on December 30th via the Stages Special Project YouTube channel. Stages Bloomington maintains a waitlist until the first day of programming but cannot guarantee that spots will become available. This is a VIRTUAL CAMP on Zoom!

Required items for this class: an internet connection and a desktop or laptop computer with camera and microphone (a separate microphone or headset is not required as long as your computer has these items.)

Time Commitment:
Students will meet on Zoom for 2.5 to 3 hours per day, and then have time off Zoom to edit their plays.  The staggered schedule will begin at 11:30am and finish by 8pm.

Performance Premiere: Wednesday, December 30
The final 5-Minute Play Festival will premiere on YouTube so that friends and family from afar can enjoy the performance!

Open to those entering grades 6-12.
