2021 SUMMER CAMP SESSION I - 9TH GRADE - 12TH GRADE (FALL 2021)

Do you want to experience the most amazing Softball camp in the country and have some fun in the sun this summer? Then join UA Coaches as well as current and former members of the UA Softball Team at Patrick Murphy Softball School SUMMER CAMP! Patrick Murphy Softball School Summer Camp will also feature some of the most talented, experienced and enthusiastic high school and college coaches from across the Country!
 
Each camper will come away with a better understanding of the fundamentals, improved individual skills and a positive team experience all while making memories that will last a lifetime! Whether it is obtaining a softball scholarship, breaking into the starting line-up on your team, or just having fun on the diamond, our Camp staff will provide you with the skills, work ethic, and knowledge necessary to accomplish your goals.
 
Patrick Murphy Softball School Summer Camp will cover all defensive positions, including: pitching, catching, first base, second base, third base, shortstop and the outfield. In addition to all aspects of the offensive game, including; hitting, bunting, slapping, base running and sliding.
 
COVID-19 PROTOCALS
As a general rule, to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 transmission this program will follow all applicable programming protocols outlined in the current version of the Field Guide for Camps on Implementation of CDC Guidance (Field Guide) that was prepared for the American Camp Association and YMCA of the USA and is based on Center for Disease Control guidance. Any additional requirements from University of Alabama System, The University of Alabama and state or local authorities will be implemented prior to and throughout the duration of the activity, program or camp. Program preparation will include reviewing The University of Alabama’s guidance found on the Health Information website. Campers will be responsible for submitting an on-line Pre-Screen Questionnaire before attending camp each day and daily temperature checks.

DEPOSIT OPTION: $160.00 per Camper
**REMAINING BALANCE MUST BE PAID ONLINE BY JUNE 1st**
ON-LINE REGISTRATION BEGINS: Mid-April, pending NCAA Approval and the end of the Recruiting Dead Period

PREVIOUS CAMP BALANCE / CAMP FORWARDS
Your camp balance does not reserve or hold your spot for future camps or clinics. If you are using a forward from a previous camp, please e-mail patrickmurphysoftballschool@gmail.com once registration has opened for the camp or clinic you would like to register for AND prior to the camp or clinic filling up! You CANNOT register online if you are using a forward from a previous camp, please email patrickmurphysoftballschool@gmail.com once registration has opened for the camp or clinic you would like to register for AND prior to the camp or clinic filling up!

CAMP REFUND POLICY
In order to be compliant with NCAA rules, please understand that any payment you make towards camp is non-refundable. If for some reason a camper cannot attend, please inform Kate Harris (patrickmurphysoftballschool@gmail.com) two weeks prior to the camp or clinic date and we will gladly forward your camp balance to be used towards for a different Patrick Murphy Softball School Camp or clinic. If an individual cannot attend due to a medical reason, please provide a doctor’s note to patrickmurphysoftballschool@gmail.com and the balance will be forwarded, if the cancellation is made prior to camp. Finally, no refunds or balance forwards will be issued upon expulsion or voluntary withdrawal from camp.

CONFIRMATION EMAIL
You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 24 hours of registering online for camp. Be sure and check your junk box, as sometimes the confirmation e-mail can get lost there. Also, the e-mail address you listed on the application is where the confirmation e-mail will be sent, so please double check that the e-mail address is entered correctly before submitting camp registration form.

PAY REMAINING BALANCE INFORMATION
Remaining balance must be paid on-line by Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020. You can pay your remaining balance anytime with your registration ID, by clicking on the "PAY BY BALANCE" button on the left side of the screen.

HOUSING
Campers are responsible for their own overnight accommodations and getting to/from Rhoads Stadium each day.

CAMP CHECK-IN
Check-in will take place at Rhoads Stadium and campers will arrive according to where their last name falls in the alphabet. Camp activities will take place after registration. Please refer to your confirmation email for check-in time and other details. For whatever reason, if you are not able to arrive in time for registration on the first day of camp, please e-mail to coordinate a modified registration time. Please do not email regarding a late check-in UNTIL the week of camp. If a camper is leaving early, please notify via email as well. TEAM ASSIGNMENTS
We have a very specific method in which we assign teams. In order to insure everyone plays their primary position at Rhoads Stadium, we have to follow this proven system. We will not be able to accommodate any requests for campers to be put on the same team.

CAMP ITINERARY
A detailed camp itinerary will be e-mailed out a few days prior to camp. The file will be in a PDF format, so you can access it via your smart phone or tablet during camp. You will also have the opportunity to make a copy prior to arriving at camp.

Campers can expect the following daily schedule (this is subject to change):

Day One Registration 9AM-10AM, camp activities to follow until 6P

Day Two 9A-6P

Day Three 9A-Noon

REQUIRED MEDICAL DOCUMENTS
Patrick Murphy Softball Schools requires proof of a negative test within 72 hours of camp OR proof of *vaccination.
Please bring to registration on the first day of camp either your proof of a negative test within 72 hours of camp OR proof of *vaccination
*Fully vaccinated means two weeks have elapsed since the individual received their last vaccine dose.

THE NCAA PROHIBITS US FROM SAVING SPOTS FOR FUTURE CAMPS -- NO EXCEPTIONS
All camps are open to any and all entrants. (Limit only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
Alabama Softball camps are solely operated by Patrick Murphy Softball School, which is not affiliated with The Board of Trustees of the University of Alabama or The University of Alabama.
