Event Description
Labor Day Camp
Camp session one: The morning session will be geared towards working with pitchers and catchers. Pitchers and catchers will be broken up into separate groups at the beginning of the session to work on specific drills and strategies unique to the position. A mental session will be implemented prior to the pitching and catching groups coming together to throw a live session based on pitch development and sequences.
Camp session two: This camp will cover the essential fundamentals of defense and offense. No pitching or catching instruction will be available during the defensive session as it is offered in session one. Campers will receive a breakdown of defensive and offensive techniques and strategies utilized by the program. Elite training strategies utilized by the Falcon softball program will implemented to provide campers a taste of what it is like to train at the collegiate level. A mental skills session will be introduced to help campers begin to establish healthy and positive tools to help grow their thought process as a ball player. Finally, campers will have an opportunity to scrimmage in simulated game scenarios and apply what they learned earlier in the session.
