Coach Purpura Lacrosse Camps at VMI

VMI FALL PROSPECT DAY

October 2nd & 3rd , 2021
Who: Grad years 2022, 2023, 2024
October 2nd: 6:30pm - 8:30pm
October 3rd: 8:00am - 2:30pm

Cost: $200

The VMI Prospect Day is open to high school seniors, juniors, and sophomores, who are committed to playing lacrosse at the collegiate level.

Each session will be led by members of the VMI Lacrosse coaching staff and team. All lacrosse equipment is required- we will not have extra gear available on-site. Our October camp will be a two-day camp that will start at 6:30pm on Saturday the 2nd and resume on Sunday the 3rd at 8:00am.

Our prospect days are capped to ensure a great experience, so make sure to reserve your spot early!

What to bring: All players must come in full equipment including a mouth guard. You may bring a lunch but families will have the option to grab lunch in Downtown Lexington as there will be an hour lunch break.

Camp Highlights:

  • Recruiting Process talk/Q&A with Coach Purpura (parents may attend)
  • Playing in front of College Coaches
  • Showcasing your talent and skills in front of the entire VMI coaching staff
  • Working with the VMI coaches and current players
  • Great facilities: VMI Lacrosse Turf (Drill Field 2)
  • Highly competitive players from all over the country

Sample Prospect Day Schedule:

Saturday October 2nd, 2021

  • 6:00pm Check In
  • 6:30pm-8:30pm – Group Practice Session

Sunday October 3rd, 2021

  • 8 – 9am - Campus Tour
  • 9am – 9:30am – Recruiting Q and A with Coach Purpura
  • 9:30 – 10:30am - Lunch (Not Provided)
  • 10:30 – 11:15am - Group Practice Session
  • 11:15 – 11:30am - Team Practice Session
  • 11:30am - 2:30pm - Team Games

Accommodations
The camp will not provide housing for attendees. However, there are many hotels in close proximity to the Institute in the Lexington area.

NCAA rules prohibit free or reduced admission for prospect-aged individuals.
