Event Description

Winter College ID Camp

Coach Griffin and his dedicated staff of coaches have designed a top-quality program for boys with competitive soccer experience, who have a strong desire to improve upon their understanding of the game and abilities as soccer players and an interest in playing soccer at the collegiate level. The GCU campus and facilities provide a one of a kind environment where players will participate in a challenging and fun soccer education experience. Players will typically be placed into smaller groups based on age and skill level to ensure campers receive the most individual attention possible. Training sessions will usually consist of players working on a specific topic within one of the phases of the game. The evenings consist of nightly tournaments with full-sided games where the players are able to demonstrate the contextual learning and tactical understanding worked on during the day. At GCU Soccer summer camps, we strive to teach the campers not just the game, intelligence and technical execution, but rather the contextual application and how it all comes together within a game environment. All players will take part in a range of student athlete activities, such as a campus tour, recruiting overview, as well as a player panel.
