WHY CHOOSE BOSTON SOCCER CAMPS
Boston Soccer Camps are hosted by Boston College Head Men's Soccer Coach Bob Thompson and his staff. We offer a unique opportunity to play and train in one of our college sessions coached by our BC staff before playing small-sided and full-field matches. We will not provide written evaluations, as these one-day events only provide a snap-shot of player performances, but we do look at every player closely to determine whether or not we are interested in that person for recruitment. While these events are for players that have specific interest in Boston College men's soccer, we invite coaches from top teams around New England to attend our clinics and recruit.

MORE ABOUT BC MEN'S SOCCER

  • Boston College plays Division 1 soccer in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), which is the top level in the top conference in the US.
  • Our roster consists of top players from domestic academics, clubs, and prep schools as well as some of the best clubs internationally.

COACH THOMPSON COACHING PROFILE
*As an Eagle alum, Coach Thompson was one of the most decorated players in program history earning Honorable Mention All-American, twice named the Big East Tournament MVP, leading the team to two Big East championships, and ultimately a trip to the Elite 8.

*Coach Thompson has also had a decorated coaching career. Most recently he guided the 2019 Eagle's team to the second round of the NCAA tournament as the Interim Head Coach before taking on the role full time in 2020. As the Associate Head Coach at UMass Lowell, he helped guide the Riverhawks through the transition of becoming a new Division I program culminating in 2016's unprecedented success finishing #3 nationally in the RPI ranking. Thompson also helped transform the Tufts Jumbos Division III program from bottom dweller in the NESCAC to national champion. The two classes he helped bring in ultimately led Tufts to the first of four D3 national championships in 2014.
