BISON TECHNIQUE CAMP |
The Technique Camp is a great opportunity for athletes to sharpen their skills from beginners to top-level wrestlers. Campers will learn wrestling techniques in all three positions: neutral, top, and bottom, as well as live/situational wrestling.
The Technique Camps will concentrate on instruction, drilling and live wrestling for beginning to advanced wrestlers in grades 7-12. It will include techniques and drills from the feet, top and bottom positions. Instruction will cover hand fighting, setups, counters, strategy. The camp will explore the most effective ways to gain an upper hand on a good opponent. This camp will also focus on escapes and reversals to make you a well-rounded wrestler. Camp will conclude with an individual takedown tournament with awards if desired.
Resident Campers can be 7th-12th grade (age 12-18) only. Younger athletes but must be commuters or accompanied by a guardian if staying in the dorms

Resident Registrations: All resident registrants stay in dorms & eat on campus.
Commuter w/ meals: All commuters with meals registrants will eat on campus. All commuters with meals registrants will all lunches and dinners starting on the second day of camp (June 16).
Commuter Registration: Meals are on their own.
Location: Sanford Health Athletic Complex (SHAC), 1300 17th Ave N, Fargo, ND 58102
Dorms: Stockbridge Hall (1420 N University Dr, Fargo, ND 58102)
Format: This four-day format features technique, games, and live wrestling.
What To Bring: Shoes, head gear, work-out clothes, fan and personal toiletries. Free laundry machines will be available for use. Each dorm room will be supplied with a standard linen package—sheet, pillowcase, blanket, 2 towels, 1 washcloth.
Training Staff: Full-time trainers will be at every session.

Camps are refundable as follows:
- Medical Cancellations: Injury/Illness before or during camp is subject to the camp director’s discretion. A valid doctor’s note is required.
- COVID-19 Cancellation: Refunds will be issued for COVID-related cancellations. There will be a full refund less fees.
- Cancellations within 1 week of camp is 50%. Refunds will not be provided for no shows.
NDSU is required to provide reasonable accommodations for guests with disabilities. Examples of accommodations include a sign interpreter, a dietary accommodation, or a wheel-chair accessible room. In the event there are additional expenses involved, it is the responsibility of the sponsor to pay. Guests are required to contact the sponsor a minimum of 3 weeks before the event. Camps shall be open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
