2022 Wartburg Hitting League
The annual Wartburg College Baseball Hitting Leagues are forming now! These leagues are for players in grades 5-12, and will be held on Sunday afternoons. The leagues are held in the Wartburg – Waverly Sports and Wellness Center in Waverly.
The Hitting League will run on the following Sunday afternoons: November 6, 13, 20, December 4, and 11. The league will consist of two sessions that will run from 1:00 pm to 4:15 pm on Sunday. Session I will run from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm Sunday, Session II will run from 2:45pm to 4:15 pm Sunday.
Joel Holst, head coach of the Wartburg Baseball Team, is the league director. Knight Pitching Coaches Jared Pirkl and Ryan Doty and Hitting Coach Cory Carlson and Catching Coach Casey Chaplin will also be featured instructors. The players for the 2022 Wartburg Baseball Team will also be involved with the leagues.

Wartburg’s Hitting League will have an emphasis toward quality instruction while using team and individual competition as a tool for motivation. We encourage individuals as well as teams to sign up. Prizes will be awarded to the top individuals in each division and recognition will be given to the outstanding hitting leaders in each division for two competitions.
