Captains Girls Basketball Camps

2023 Prospect Showcase

This showcase is for the advanced, serious-minded high school player who is interested in playing at the collegiate level.  Activities will be built around the opportunity for players to demonstrate their ability to eventually play at the next level consisting of competitive 5 v 5 games, 3 v 3 activities and skills competitions including Free Throw Shooting, 3pt. Shooting and 1-on-1 contest as well as a seminar on College Admissions, Recruiting Process, etc. All campers will receive a Free Camp T-Shirt.

CAMPUS TOUR: There will be a free, optional Campus Tour offered to all campers around 4:00pm immediately following the conclusion of the showcase that will cover the women's basketball locker room, athletic training room, athletics only weight room, athletic academic support area, athletic fields, student union, classrooms, fitness center, dining halls, library, and residence halls.

FACILITIES: All showcases and camps will be held in the Freeman Center, CNU’s state-of-the-art facility, which is home to the men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and indoor track & field teams located on the campus of Christopher Newport University.

ATHLETIC TRAINING: A certified athletic trainer will be on-site at all times during showcase hours. Any medical emergencies or illnesses will be referred to nearby Riverside Hospital.
