This 2-day camp will teach the fundamentals of volleyball using proven techniques for each skill and quickly advancing to game application. Campers will be grouped according to ability, experience, and age. Our system of grouping the camp by age and skill level will allow campers to be placed where they will be capably challenged to improve at each session. Our camp is designed to quickly build understanding of the game and be challenging for all players. Head Coach and Olympian Ricci Luyties will instruct each skill using members of the UC San Diego Women’s Volleyball team to demonstrate. Campers will practice the skills in groups with one coach for approximately eight campers. Come get prepared for high school tryouts! If you play for fun or to compete, this is a great way to improve your skills, exercise, and meet new friends!

Due to COVID restrictions there will be no residential opportunities for this camp. Campers must bring their own lunch, snacks, and refillable water bottle each day. Register early while space is still available. 

Our camps are open to any and all entrants and will only be limited by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

CAMP REFUND POLICY:

If camp is canceled due to COVID restrictions or campus guidance a full refund will be given. On request, a 50% refund will be given until July 4th. After July 4th, no refunds.

PARKING:

Visitors should park in the Hopkins parking structure and obtain a Parking Permit via the pay station or Pay by App. Visitors must pay close attention to the type of pass they purchase and make sure it matches the space they park in, otherwise they are subject to ticketing and we are not able to help resolve issues.

VISITOR PARKING TIPS:

We suggest parking in the Hopkins Parking Structure located just south of RIMAC Arena. While traveling south on John J Hopkins Drive you will pass soccer fields and RIMAC arena before seeing Hopkins parking structure. From anywhere in the Hopkins parking structure guests will be able to find the parking pay stations (near the entrances and elevators) or use the Pay by App to pay for parking.
