Viterbo V-Hawks Girls Youth Basketball Camp

COME FLY WITH US! Under the direction of Lionel Jones, the V-Hawks have soared to new heights. Head Coach Lionel Jones who has years of Basketball experience which includes stops with the Minnesota Golden Gophers, Minnesota Timberwolves, UW-Stout Blue Devils, and many years in the high school game will be involved in all aspects of camps.

Lace’ em up and get ready for a fun-filled, action-packed hoops experience! Come join the Viterbo Women Basketball Coaching Staff, current V-Hawk players and our experience camp stuff, and let us take your game to a new level. Day Camp will provide each camper with fundamental instruction with basketball specific drills, daily competitions, and 5 on 5 games that will allow all campers to utilize what they learn throughout the day! Whether you are looking to improve your shooting or finishing ability, your ability to rebound the basketball or even your basketball knowledge this is the camp for you! Our camp staff will work with all young athletes of all abilities to ensure that each camper has the best V-Hawk Basketball experience!

Location: Varsity Athletic Centers. Viterbo University

What to expect:

• Individualized skill development each day led by Viterbo Women’s Basketball Coaches and Players.
• Head to Head Game Action coached by Viterbo players. Players will receive equal playing time.
• Daily Competitions
• An Inclusive environment where your young hooper can grow their skills as well as grow their love of the game.
• T-Shirt provided to each participant.

Camp Personnel:

Lionel Jones, Camp Director at Viterbo University

Lionel Jones currently serves as the head coach of the Viterbo University Women’s Basketball program.

During his three years Viterbo has accomplished numerous feats including attaining their first Winning Season in 17 years. Throughout his career Coach Jones has amassed over 340 wins and holds a .741 winning percentage.

Coach Jones is a University of Minnesota Alum where he got his start with the Men’s Basketball program. During his coaching journey he has had stops with the Minnesota Timberwolves, UW-Stout, and a variety of high schools including his previous stop at Durand HS.
