Lights! Camera! ACTION! We are excited to announce the 5th Annual Gothenburg Swedes Stage Stars Summer Theatre Camp will present THE RAINBOW FISH on July 12, 2023, at 7:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center at GHS and YOU are invited to play a role in the production!
Students currently in grades K-6 are eligible to audition for speaking roles or may choose to be a part of the ensemble. Auditions will be held after school in the Performing Arts Center on Thursday, May 11, at 3:45pm for students in grades 3-6 and on Friday, May 12, at 3:45pm for students in grades K-2. Scripts will be distributed following the casting process so actors can review their lines before rehearsals begin.
Rehearsal for grades 3-6 will be June 26-27, July 6-7, and July 10-11 from 1:00-3:00pm in the PAC. Our K-2 students will attend July 7, 10, and 11 from 1:00-3:00pm in the PAC. On Wednesday, July 12, all performers will report at 5:00 pm for rehearsal and a team meal before their final performance at 7:00 pm that will be open to all family and friends!
Each rehearsal will consist of warm ups and stage games, general blocking and performance techniques, other theatrical jobs (lighting, sound, stage crew), and audience etiquette, led by GHS coaches Lori Long and Erin Feather, as well as GHS One Act Cast and Crew members. All participants will be invited to a special one act rehearsal and performance in November!
Student participants will receive a t-shirt, which will serve as the base of their costumes, as well as a recording of the production and a cast photo.
Registration and payment are due no later than May 10.
