Event Description

CSU JAVELIN CLINIC

Featuring World #1 and American Record holder, Kara Winger

Featured coach, #1 in  the World, American Record holder, Kara Winger hosted  by Colorado State University.  Our goal is to educate coaches (and athletes) at the high school and collegiate level in technique, drill work, and strength and conditioning methodologies to advance understanding of the javelin throw. Sessions will include  theoretical ideas, discussion of technical models, and video review, as well as practical application of drill work, throwing, and javelin-specific fitness strategies. Lead coaches, Kara and Russ Winger will primarily focus on coaches’ education, using coaches’  own athletes to demonstrate techniques and learn in real time. Russ’s elite javelin coaching debut in 2022 saw Kara become the World Championships Silver Medalist, American Record holder, and the first ever Diamond League Champion in American javelin throwing.  Learn Javelin from the World’s best!
