These academies are designed for athletes of all skill levels, ranging from beginners to advanced, who are in grades K-5^th. Join us to discover the FUNdamentals of the game and enhance your existing skills. Refine your mechanics and build your confidence. For optimal results with skill development, we encourage athletes to participate on a weekly basis.

• Pitchers: mechanics, spin, improve accuracy, strike zone expansion, increase speed, learn new pitches once the foundation is solid, situational pitching, arm care, mental game, and more.*Pitchers must bring their own catcher or prepare to pitch to a net. All catchers in grades K-12^th must wear full catching gear! Catchers will not receive skill instruction from Coach Boo and Staff. Buckets will not be provided for catchers to sit on.*
• Hitters: mechanics, improve hitting for average and power, perfect your short-game, baserunning, situational hitting, improve strike zone awareness, and more.
• Catchers & Defense: mechanics, footwork, glove work, overhand throwing accuracy and velocity, framing/blocking (catchers), situational defense, arm care, mental game, and more.

Registration & Check-In:

Weekly Softball Academies are open to all athletes, grades K-5^th and 6^th-12^th as designated by dates and time slots. Session 1 and 2 are limited to 16 attendees per session. Session 3 is limited to 8 attendees per session. Unfortunately no walk-up registrations will be permitted. Online Registration will remain open until each Weekly Softball Academy is filled. Check-In will take place 15 minutes prior the start of the session. Athletes should enter the building through the main entrance of Rohrman Fieldhouse, check in with our Boo De Oliveira Softball Camps Staff, and wait in the stands for our staff to begin Weekly Softball Academy. Athletes are encouraged to stretch on their own. Only registered athletes are permitted on the turf.

Equipment:

All athletes must bring their own softball equipment. Label your equipment. Boo De Oliveira Softball Camps LLC is not responsible for any damaged or lost equipment. Cleats are not permitted on the indoor turf field at any time; Athletes must bring sneakers or turf shoes to participate in academy. NO cleats of any type (molded or metal) are permitted on the turf! All athletes are encouraged to wear their grade school, middle school, high school, club, or travel ball uniforms. Athletes are also encouraged to bring any additional equipment that they may need, such as a mouthpiece or facemask. Athletes must bring their own water. No colored liquids are permitted on the turf. Athletes attending more than one session are encouraged to bring a snack to eat outside of the turf.

Athletes must bring the below required equipment:

• Pitchers: sneakers or turf shoes, glove, (optional) face mask
• Defenders: sneakers or turf shoes, glove, (optional) face mask or mouth guard
• Catchers: sneakers or turf shoes, glove/catching mitt, catching gear
• Hitters: sneakers or turf shoes, bat, batting helmet with a facemask, (optional) batting gloves

Staff:

Weekly Softball Academy Staff will consist of Coach Boo De Oliveira, as well as our talented Staff.

Weekly Softball Academy Insurance:

We strongly recommend purchasing registration insurance. All registrations are final. During the registration process, you will be provided the option to insure the full amount of your Weekly Softball Academies fees. With Registration Protector, an athlete who misses an event for a reason such as a covered injury or illness, job loss, transportation delays, military/family/legal obligations, and other covered reasons can get their Weekly Softball Academies fees reimbursed. It gives you peace of mind if you cannot make it to one of our events. It costs less than a cup of coffee to insure the full amount of your registration. 

Refunds:

Refunds will not be processed unless you opted to purchase registration insurance during the process of registering for academies. All registrations are final. Weekly Softball Academies are operated by Boo De Oliveira Softball Camps, LLC which has sole responsibility for the operation of the lessons, academies, camps, and other softball events. When academies are canceled due to inclement weather, a credit to future events will be given to attendees. Boo De Oliveira Softball Camps LLC is a separate legal entity from Legacy Sports Club.

Legacy Sports Club – Rohrman Fieldhouse at 2920 Conservation Club Rd Lafayette, IN 47905. Drive past the basketball courts to the back of the complex. The Rohrman Fieldhouse is the first building on your left. You will find plenty of parking out in front of the Rohrman Fieldhouse. See map below for further information. Drop off and check-in for all camps will take place at Legacy Sports Club – Rohrman Fieldhouse

Weather and Updates:

Should we encounter bad weather that prohibits driving to academy, please use your best judgment. We would like everyone to attend our event; However, we stress safety first especially if you are traveling to camp from far. Be sure to follow us on social media to check on weather updates.
