Intermediate All Skills Training
Gustavus Adolphus College Volleyball is happy to offer the eighth annual winter volleyball clinic for 6 – 8th grade volleyball players on December 9, 2023. Circuit format to maximize skills training with games and competition!

CLINIC COACHES:
Rachelle (Ro) Sherden is in her 14th season as head coach of the Gustavus Adolphus College volleyball team in 2023. In 13 seasons, Sherden guided the Gusties to MIAC playoff berths nine times and NCAA tournament berths six times including a trip to the NCAA Elite 8 Finals in 2017. She has coached 16 players who have earned 31 All-Conference awards and five athletes who have garnered seven All-American distinctions over her tenure. Additionally, Sherden received MIAC Coach of the Year honors in 2022 for the third time in her career (also received the MIAC honor and was named AVCA Region Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018). The 2022 Gusties concluded the season as MIAC regular season and playoff champions and secured another trip to the NCAA Tournament where the team finished ranked No. 16 in the nation.
Alyssa Maiers joined the Gustavus volleyball coaching staff as the lead assistant in 2018, when Maiers helped the Gusties capture another MIAC regular season championship, the MIAC playoff championship, and the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament for the fourth time in the previous five years (Maiers was a senior when the team captured the first championship in 2015). In 2021, she helped the Gusties earn MIAC regular season and playoff championships and secure another trip to the NCAA Tournament where the team finished Top 32 in the country. Last season, in 2022, Maiers helped the Gusties to an undefeated conference season (11-0), MIAC regular season and playoff championships, and another NCAA Tournament appearance, with the team finishing No. 16 in the nation. Maiers, a 2015 Gustavus graduate with a degree in health fitness, returned to her alma mater after spending the previous two years at the University of South Carolina.
The assistant court coaches will be the current student-athletes of the Gustavus Volleyball Team.

An email reminder including what to bring will be sent to each player approximately one week prior to the clinic.
REFUND POLICY:
The clinic will not be rescheduled due to weather unless roads are closed due to severe blizzard conditions. Refunds will not be issued unless for emergency circumstances.
