All-Skills & Competition Camp

GCU Men’s Volleyball is becoming more and more nationally recognized and respected each year.  The 2024 campaign is well under way and the Lopes have been ranked in the Top 10 the entire season.  Head Coach, Matt Werle, been recognized for 30 Under 30 four years ago and again for 40 Under 40 Hotshots last year.  Both of these recognitions are for younger coaches on the rise to greatness.  Matt has most recently worked with the Men’s National Team for a Pan American Cup in Colorado Springs, CO where they placed second behind Cuba.  He continues to work with Men’s USA Volleyball prospects.  Please come and receive hands on coaching from one of the up and coming stars in the men’s coaching world and the athletes involved in one of the best programs in the country.

This year we are having two sessions.  The first session each day will remain similar to previous years and the all-skills training, but geared more towards specific positions.  There will be more breakout sessions in the morning with access to 16 volleyball courts.  The second session of each day will be entirely competition based.  We would like to highlight the competitive nature of the sport with a variety of different competition drills and games.

Location: Canyon Activities Center.
The men’s volleyball camp is excited to utilize the Canyon Activities Center and have everyone located in one facility.  This will expose the young athletes to the older, more skilled athletes at the camp.

Required Forms: To participate in camp it is required each camper have a Camp Liability Wavier on file! Campers registering online will receive the Camp Liability Waiver via email after submitting registration.

Per NCAA rules, all sport camps and clinics conducted by Grand Canyon University are open to any and all entrants and enrollment is only limited based on age, grade level, gender, or number restrictions as specified by each camp.
