Sports Xplore Camp

Our goal is to provide our campers with an overview of eight sports, in hopes they will find the ones in which they are most interested and will continue as they get older.  Clubs and leagues are long commitments, but with Sports Xplore, we will provide our campers with enough time to see if they are interested in continuing any of these sports in the future.  The sports include tennis, soccer, volleyball, softball/baseball, basketball, golf, swimming, and lacrosse.  Once our campers are exposed to all eight sports offered, we will provide more information to each family on how to continue in this sport at Hood College and in the local community.

As the director, I want kids to get away from video games during the summer and join our camp for two weeks in June to make new friends and learn new sports.  Kids who participate in athletics show improvements in work ethic, academic achievement, self-esteem, and behavior.  If your camper is a beginner, they will be in good company.  If your camper is more advanced for their age, they will be challenged with other campers and coaches.  Everyone has a place at Sports Xplore!
