2024 Elite Camps

The UNI Elite Pitching and Elite Catching camps are designed for players of all ages and skill levels. Camps will cover general pitching and catching principles with drills that can be tailored to all ages.

Elite Hitting camp is designed for older players who would like to advance their skill set.  The camps will cover more advanced drills, mechanics, and philosophies of the UNI softball program.

Will be instructed by Head Coach Ryan Jacobs, UNI Staff, and UNI Softball Players.

Location: Registration is at the SW Entrance of the UNI-Dome.

Elite Pitching:

• Proper warm-ups and overall mechanics
• Different warm-up and mechanics drills
• Discuss grip and ball spin for Fastball, Change-up, Rise, Curve, and Drop.
• Breaking common habits in older pitchers

*Pitchers need to bring their glove, clean tennis shoes, and a catcher (doesn't have to be a softball player) that is not registered for the Fundamental Catching Camp.
 
Please write you name on all personal belongings. The Ryan Jacobs Softball School will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, or missing personal items or gear.

YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE WITHOUT THE FOLLOWING (Even if you have attended University of Northern Iowa Softball Camps in the past, we will need a NEW copy  for EVERY Ryan Jacobs Softball School camp you register for):

Confirmation E-mail: You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 24 hours of registering online for camp. Be sure and check your junk box, as sometimes the confirmation e-mail can get lost there. Also, the e-mail address you listed on the application is where the confirmation e-mail will be sent, so please double check that the e-mail address is entered correctly.

Refund Policy: In order to be compliant with NCAA rules, please understand that any payment you make towards camp is non-refundable. If for some reason a camper cannot attend, please inform us two weeks prior to the camp or clinic date and we will gladly forward your camp balance to be used towards for a different Ryan Jacobs Softball School Camp or clinic. Please note that this does not reserve or hold your spot, you must still meet registration deadlines. If the camp director is not notified two weeks prior to the camp or clinic date, no forward will occur. If an individual cannot attend due to a medical reason, please provide a doctor’s note to us and the balance will be forwarded, if the cancellation is made prior to camp. Finally, no refunds or balance forwards will be issued upon expulsion or voluntary withdrawal from camp.
