Elite Prospect Camp

The highest level of camp we offer at YSU. The YSU Elite Prospect Camp is designed to improve the fundamental skills of volleyball: serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, and defense. In addition, campers will work on team defense and offensive systems within their assigned teams. Campers will be placed into groups of similar ability; this will maximize their learning.  This camp gives you an inside look at the Youngstown State University Volleyball Experience.  

This is a college prospect camp and will be all college level paced drills. A higher level of Junior Olympic Club volleyball playing experience is highly recommended. 

Cost includes

• Skill Instruction from YSU Coaches and Players with high level drills  
• Camp T-shirt 
• Tour of YSU Athletic Facilities, Q and A with current players  
• All meals and lodging - overnight camper 
• Most meals - commuter camper 

There will be snacks and T-shirts for sale during camp. Cash, Check, Venmo Only.

Location: Stambaugh Stadium or Beeghly Center

Example of Tentative Elite Camp Schedule:

July 9th:

• 8AM-9AM overnight camper check in and move stuff into dorms 
• 9AM Commuter camper check in 
• Session 1: 10am-12pm  
• *Lunch 12:30-1:30PM 
• Session 2: 2-4pm  
• 4-5 pm (Q&A session with facility tours)  
• *Dinner 5-6PM  
• Session 3: 6:30pm-8pm 
• 8:30PM - Return to Dorms – Lights out / room checks by 10:30PM 

July 10th:

• 7AM Wake Up Call  
• Overnight Camper Breakfast 7:30AM 
• 8AM - Overnight Campers Check out of Dorms – Bring all stuff to Gym 
• Commuter Check In 8:30AM 
• Session 4: 9am-11am  
• Lunch 11:15-12:15PM 
• Session 5: 12:30-1PM – Team Practice / Warmup  
• 1PM-3:30pm - 6v6 Tournament play: 
• 3:45PM- 4PM – Camp and Team Awards  
• 4PM – Camp Dismissal 

Camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender)
