***Meet the Speakers***
Jill Waldron
For the past twenty years, Coach Waldron has been giving private and group pitching lessons to hundreds of athletes in the Chicagoland area. Coach Waldron has been fortunate to work with amazing and dedicated athletes who continue to make great strides in life, academically, athletically and mentally. Her teaching philosophies prepare her students to learn the proper technique and mechanics of pitching.
Josh Carlile
Josh Carlile enters his 22nd season with Manteno where he is the head coach of both the middle and high school teams. During his tenure, Manteno HS has a record of 394-132 with 6 conference, 6 regional, 2 sweet 16, 1 super sectional championship and a state 2nd place finish. Manteno MS is 346-71 with 10 conference, 12 regional, and 6 sectional championships. At IESA state Manteno has 2 Elite Eight appearances, a 3rd and 2nd place finish and two state championships. Josh is married to Krista and they have three kids Rey, Ben and Ty.
Jim Donovan
Jim is coming to the ISCA with 35+ years of experience. He started his career in baseball and has recently moved into the fastpitch arena. Jim is known in the area as one of the best private hitting instructors and works with all levels of athletes. Jim believes in the mental side of training to ensure athletes are confident and ready to hit the ball.
Joe Spitzeri
Coach Spitzeri has coached 26 seasons of fastpitch softball. He and other parents of the Kaneland community started the Northern Illinois Thunder Fastpitch program. He has 12 years of head coaching experience coaching 16U, 18U and 18 & over teams. He has been an assistant coach for six years at Kaneland. Coach Spitzeri has 13 seasons of coaching at the NJCAA D2 level at Waubonsee Community College where he spent the last three seasons as head coach.
Deric Linder
Coach Linder has been coaching softball for 17 years at Metamora Township High School, and during that time, he has achieved 341 wins, 11 regional championships, 2 sectional titles, and a state title (2010). Before his career at MTHS, Linder was the head baseball coach at Fieldcrest high school, and has also coached football and basketball at the varsity level at both Fieldcrest and MTHS. Today, in addition to softball, he teaches US History at Metamora High School. Linder lives in Goodfield, IL; and is married to Kim with three daughters: Kaylie (27), Morgan(19), and Reagan(19).
Kate Kelley Schneider
As a coach’s daughter, psychotherapist, and lifelong athlete, Kate is dedicated to enhancing mental toughness for coaches and their teams through mindset techniques. Her expertise in sports consulting and mental health counseling led her to create Pure Sports Mindset. In addition to one-on-one work with athletes, Kate consults with parents, coaches, and entire athletic departments using the principles outlined in her book, Pure Sports Mindset.
Mike Kuefler
Coach Kuefler is the owner and operator of Fundamental Backstop catchers training facility. He has 34+ years of experience in training Catchers, last 18 years, Fastpitch Catchers exclusively. Coach Kuefler is going into his second stint as the Kaneland head softball coach.
