Event Description

7v7 Tournament (U14, U16 & U19)

 

Maximum of 14 players per team. The tournament will consist of 3 divisions: U14, U16, and U19 tournament. Depending on the number of teams that sign up we may combine divisions appropriately. Junior high and high school teams are welcome to join and sign up for their appropriate division. The tournament will have round robin pool games, cross-over play, and a tournament winner. Game length and format will be determined by the number of teams that sign up. Guaranteed 5 games at 25 minutes will be played (or a total of 125 minutes). Tournament schedule will be sent out approximately 5 days prior to the event. PIAA High School rules will be used. All players must wear shin guards and mouth guards / appropriate GK equipment. Ties in playoffs will be determined by: 1st – 5 minutes of 5v5 sudden victory; 2nd - 3 players from each team take a 1vGK alternately; 3rd – sudden victory 1vGK. Tournament t-shirts will be awarded to the winning team.

DETAILS:

Walk-up registrations will not be accepted. East Stroudsburg University is not responsible for injuries or accidents as a result of competition. Each participant must carry their own personal medical insurance. Additionally, each participant will be required to complete an informed consent form. This will be sent to the coach after online registration is complete. The coach is required to distribute the form to their players and hand the signed forms in the day of the event.

CAMP CARE SERVICES:

Our ESU Camp Care Staff will provide certified athletic trainers. They will service the participants during the hours of the tournament and will refer medical emergencies and illnesses to the Lehigh Valley Health Network-Pocono Medical Center, located one block from campus.

MEDICAL INSURANCE:

ESU does not provide individuals with medical insurance. Campers must provide their own medical insurance plans. ESU is not responsible for paying medical deductibles or hospital costs for any camper.

DEPOSIT/PAYMENT/CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS:

There is a $100 non-refundable charge. All refund requests must be submitted in writing to Sandy Miller at smiller@esu.edu within 14 days prior to the tournament. Please allow six to eight weeks for processing of any refunds.
