Bears Elite Two-Day ID Clinic

Join the Brown Women's Soccer staff for a competitive ID clinic held at Brown University in Rhode Island.  Brown Head Coach, Kia McNeill, and her coaching staff are featured at the clinic which will be geared towards players interested in playing at the next level.  The clinics will allow players to get an inside look at the women's collegiate soccer program and key emphasis will be placed on three critical components of the game:

  1. Technical Proficiency
  2. Tactical Awareness / Speed of Play
  3. Mental Poise and Confidence

The field sessions will involve scrimmages, multidimensional drills, and competitive small-sided games that will emphasize the intricacies of the beautiful game of soccer.  There will also be goalkeeper-specific training with our goalkeeper coach.

Location: Brown University, 255 Lloyd Avenue, Providence, RI 02906.  The Center for Lacrosse and Soccer (CLS) is the large gray building on the left upon entering the parking lot.

Who: Prospective Student-Athletes from 9th grade and up, interested in elite level training.

Registration: Opens at 1:30pm Thursday evening.

Refunds: No refunds, however, your clinic credit can be applied to a future clinic.  We announce our clinics seasonally, so please continue to check our clinic site at www.brownwomenssoccerclinics.com.

Accommodations: This is NOT an overnight clinic. You/your parents will be responsible for getting accommodations in the area, and transportation to and from the clinic each day.  Please see a list of hotels in the area here: Brown Hotels.

Questions: Please contact the Women’s Soccer Staff at brownwsoccer@gmail.com

Reminders:

  • The clinic will be held outdoors on turf.  Please dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Please plan to bring a ball, water bottle, shin guards, cleats, and sneakers.  There will be water at the facility for you to refill your water bottles.
  • The clinic will be run straight through both days from 2pm-6pm on Thursday, and 9am-1pm on Friday.  We will obviously break for water, but there will be no formal lunch/dinner break.  Please fuel appropriately before the start of the clinic and/or bring a snack if necessary.
