Event Description
Pitt Kids Summer Camp
Pitt’s Kids is the oldest community outreach program at the University of Pittsburgh, sponsored by the School of Education. Our mission is to expose children to a variety of activities that expand their interests and foster active lifestyles.
Facilities
Held at Trees Hall, our program benefits from exceptional amenities, including a 50-meter pool, 25-yard pool, rock wall, dance studio, three large basketball courts, racquetball courts, and a multipurpose room.
Activities
For children aged 5-13, our morning programming features a variety of engaging activities tailored to different age groups, including games in the pool, team sports, rock climbing, scavenger hunts, STEM activities, and more! After a fun morning session, each child will enjoy lunch at Sutherland Hall. The afternoon sessions will include traditional Pitt’s Kids activities, featuring swimming lessons and gym activities for all kids. We also offer a new Counselor in Training (CIT) program for ages 14-16, where CIT participants gain valuable mentoring experience by connecting with campers and enhancing their skills through specialized instruction in swimming and gym activities. Each day consists of 50 minutes of physical activity followed by 50 minutes of aquatic instruction, providing a well-rounded experience in both the gym and pool.
We invite you to register your child and join us for an exciting summer of exploration and fun at Pitt’s Kids!
Registration for the program will start on Monday, March 17th at 9AM EST.
