Summer Music Academy
Middle School All-Star Band
Students will need the following for the academy
(please read the entire document!)
Attire for the finale performances will be academy shirt (distributed during the week) & shorts or pants
- Your instrument (McNeese CANNOT provide any instruments, mouthpieces or reeds)
- Standard mute(s)
- Pencil
- Umbrella or rain jacket

PERCUSSIONISTS: Please bring as much of the following as you have or can get from your director:
- Concert snare sticks and marching sticks, Medium yarn mallets / Xylophone mallets / Timpani mallets **If you do not have access to all of these, that's ok. Bring as much as you can.
- Comfortable athletic shoes
- Sunscreen and hat

Additional Information
- Family, directors, and friends are invited to the Academy Finale Performances on June 14. This will be held in Tritico Theater.
- Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each session. Meals and sessions will be supervised at all times.
