2025 HIGH SCHOOL TACKLE CAMP

GRADES: 9th - 12th TIME: 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM Open to all contact sports athletes and positions and limited to 50 participants. |
This clinic will focus on the fundamentals of safe, effective tackling using techniques adapted from rugby—an approach now widely embraced by football programs like the Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, and Ohio State. Athletes will learn to tackle with leverage, shoulder alignment, and body control to improve performance while reducing the risk of head injuries.
Our sessions emphasize footwork, timing, and game-speed application to build confidence and consistency in contact situations. These principles have been credited with enhancing both defensive impact and athlete safety at every level of competition.
The clinic will be led by Josh Macy and Trevor Locke, national championship-winning head coaches of Lindenwood Rugby’s men’s and women’s programs. Their experience developing elite-level athletes in both contact technique and physical preparation brings unmatched expertise to this camp.
