ZCS Aquatic Programs

2025 - 2026 Pre-Competitive K-8th Grade Swim Team

This pre-competitive swim team is perfect for kids who are independent swimmers elementary or middle school and will meet weekly focusing on stroke technique, endurance and basic competitive swim skills. Practices will begin with stretching and dryland exercises so please bring a pair of shorts, t-shirt and tennis shoes.

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS:

1. Make-ups will not be given for any missed classes.
2. Swim class fees do not include admittance to any open swim times.
3. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards (the length of the lap pool) in freestyle and one other stroke. Click here for an example of a Pre-Comp swimmer.
4. Please bring a pair of shorts, t-shirt, shoes, towel, goggles, and a swim cap or hair ties to hold hair back.
5. Please come dressed in your suit under your clothes and leave in your suit.
6. Be sure the student uses the bathroom before class, especially younger students that may need help.
7. Please check in with the manager on duty upon arrival.
